Even if you have exercised throughout your life you can still be susceptible to stress incontinence at menopause as our estrogen levels drop and our body functions can become weaker. According to @TENA as many as a third of women over fifty experience incontinence as the pelvic floor muscles weaken.

Top tips to help with Stress Incontinence:

  • Reduce to 1.5 - 2L of water MAXIMUM

  • Avoid jumping and running

  • Pelvic floor exercises

  • Diet high in fiber to avoid constipation

  • Quit smoking as this habit is associated with urological diseases

  • Avoid or reduce caffeine and alcohol

  • Lose weight
