Menopause Symptoms - Breast Soreness

Breast Soreness during perimenopause and menopause

Most prevalent in perimenopause. As your estrogen falls you may experience breast soreness to varying degrees.

Changes in your hormone levels, namely estrogen and progesterone are the usual cause of breast pain during perimenopause and menopause. As you enter perimenopause, estrogen and progesterone levels rise and fall in unpredictable patterns before starting to regulate. The spikes in hormone levels can affect breast tissue, making your breasts sore, tender, and painful.

Breast soreness however should improve once your periods stop and your body is no longer producing estrogen.
